Job Summary
Act as the liaison between clinical and clerical personnel, ensuring adherence to all BMH policies and procedures. Manage coding knowledge for CPT, ICD-9, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance while applying carrier rules and regulations. Interpret laws and regulations regarding OIG, OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA, and JCAHO specific to hospital-owned physician outpatient clinics. Demonstrate clear reasoning, adapt to emergency situations, and make sound independent judgments. Maintain professional presentation and instill confidence in patients, physicians, and co-workers through exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills. High school graduate or equivalent preferred with 1-2 years physician practice experience.
Desired Qualifications
- CPT, ICD-9 Coding, Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurance coding knowledge
- knowledge of insurance carrier rules and regulations
