Job Summary
Clerical Specialist acts as the liaison between clinical and clerical personnel in a hospital outpatient clinic setting, with knowledge of CPT/ICD-9 coding, Medicare/Medicaid and Commercial Insurance coding, and familiarity with insurance carrier rules. Must understand laws and regulations related to OIG, OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA, and JCAHO, and demonstrate clear thinking, independent judgment, adaptability to emergencies, and strong interpersonal and customer-service skills while maintaining professional presentation and adherence to policies. Located in Bluffton/Hilton Head area, SC.
