Job Summary
Clerical Associate – Surgical Medical Care Center (SMCC) supports patient care operations on a 41-bed unit by coordinating communications among customers, clinical staff, and ancillary staff; handles clerical tasks, EMR processing, orders, safety, and quality data; assists with admissions/discharges, maintains reference lists and supplies, and participates in department committees and performance improvement projects. Requires Basic Life Support (Health Care Provider) within six months of hire and a high school education or equivalent (GED) preferred; Epic training/course completion is required. Unit emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and quality care.
