Job Summary
ServiceNow Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technical solutions across government and commercial clients; gather requirements, define processes, and work closely with developers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure that the ServiceNow solution aligns with organizational goals and industry best practices for ITSM and ITOM. Responsibilities include supporting workshops, interviews, and process mapping; documenting functional and non-functional requirements; translating business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria; collaborating on configuration, workflows, and automation; analyzing existing applications for transition to ServiceNow; participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and UAT; defining and executing test cases; ensuring solutions meet defined requirements and quality standards; contributing to process documentation, training materials, and continuous improvement; supporting Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies across diverse client environments; providing project updates and governance documentation; conducting training sessions and creating user guides. Requirements include active DoD Secret Clearance, DoD 8570/8140 baseline alignment (Security+ CE or equivalent), 3-5 years of BA experience with ServiceNow, a Bachelor’s degree or higher, BA deliverables proficiency, and ServiceNow Certification.
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Alignment with DoD 8570/8140 baseline requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent)
- 3-5 years of business analysis experience, with 1+ year focused on ServiceNow implementations
- Bachelor’s degree or better in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
- Project management and/or business process experience in a business context
- Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, process design, and user story creation in an Agile environment
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid development methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Required Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
- Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with ServiceNow data structures, tables, and workflows
- Experience producing BA deliverables such as business requirements documents, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, requirements traceability matrices, UAT test scripts, and stakeholder sign-off documentation
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- ICAgile or equivalent Agile certification
