Job Summary
Cleared Business Systems Analyst role supporting U.S. Army ASIC at ASRC Federal Agile Decision Sciences. The analyst translates mission needs into developer-ready functional requirements, maintains traceability across sprints, and provides ongoing functional support to the development team to protect sprint velocity and ensure delivery aligns with mission needs. Embedded with the development team, responsibilities include decomposing high-level needs into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria, validating delivered functionality, and facilitating elicitation sessions with stakeholders and the implementation team. The position requires a DoD Secret security clearance (preferred) and U.S. citizenship, with remote work allowed from the U.S. hours aligned to EST.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of equivalent combination of education and experience (one year of education equates to one year of experience)
- 2–4 years of professional business analysis or systems-analysis experience supporting software or IT delivery
- Demonstrated ability to elicit, analyze, and document functional and business requirements for a development team
- Experience translating high-level needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to bridge functional stakeholders and technical developers and remove ambiguity
- Experience validating delivered functionality against requirements (acceptance / user-acceptance testing)
- Ability to work independently under general supervision and manage multiple requirements deliverables to sprint and release deadlines
Additional Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required for access to Army systems and facilities
- Active U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance preferred; specific clearance requirement to be confirmed against governing task order
