Job Summary
Prepare sterile drug admixtures aseptically in the cleanroom under supervision, including order entry, label verifications, production staging, decontamination, and final packaging checks. Maintain inventory, monitor quality assurance, and perform syringe checks while adhering to corporate, regulatory, and safety policies. Work with minimal supervision, evaluating priorities and solving problems within a team environment. Contact patients occasionally via phone and collaborate with all staff to maintain service flow. Maintain up-to-date training through the Learning Management System.
Required Qualifications
- Secondary school education
- Pharmacy Diploma from an Alberta College of Pharmacy accredited college or institute
- Must be registered or eligible to be registered with the Alberta College of Pharmacy
- Successful and maintained certification as a regulated pharmacy technician licensed to practice with the Alberta College of Pharmacy
- IV experience
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and handle fluctuating workloads
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, attention to detail and time-management skills
- Excellent continuous improvement skills
- Ability to handle multiple demands made simultaneously under short time constraints
- Able to work individually or in a group setting
- Flexible and adaptable to changes of responsibility reflective of the business needs
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels both inside and outside the organization
- Strong computer skills in MS Office
- Proven ability to adhere to standards & procedures and maintain confidentiality
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
