Job Summary
Cleaning Technician responsible for routine cleaning of patient rooms, operating rooms, recovery rooms, public areas, and office areas to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Duties include operating cleaning equipment (carts, vacuums, buffers, extractors), mixing and applying disinfectants and cleaners per manufacturer directions, maintaining linen supplies and par levels, reporting equipment issues, following safety and infection-control guidelines, and participating in mandatory trainings. Schedule is evenings, part-time (Tue & Thu 3:00 PM–11:30 PM) at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA; healthcare setting with emphasis on quality care and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 6 months previous cleaning experience preferred, preferably healthcare environment
- Knowledge of housekeeping cleaning practices preferred
