Job Summary
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across offices, restrooms, common areas, and designated spaces by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting floors, carpets, and hard surfaces. Empty trash receptacles, stock cleaning supplies, and perform special projects like deep cleaning or window washing. Report maintenance issues for broken fixtures, plumbing, or lighting. Follow all health and safety regulations regarding chemical use and facility policies. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, and flexibility for various shifts including nights and weekends. Candidates must pass a PA criminal background check, child abuse and FBI fingerprinting clearances, a drug screen, and a TB test. Gateway Rehab treats individuals with substance use disorders.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment (vacuum, buffer, etc.) and safely handle cleaning chemicals
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Good physical stamina; ability to stand, bend, lift, and move around for extended periods
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for prolonged periods of time
- Flexibility in working hours, including nights and weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cleaning technician, janitor, or in a similar role
