Job Summary
Oversee weekend cleaning operations as a Cleaning Supervisor (Band 3) for the Facility Services and Sustainability team. Provide day-to-day supervision and basic line management of weekend cleaning staff, while also undertaking cleaning duties alongside the team. Ensure cleaning tasks are completed to agreed standards within required timescales, manage workloads and deployments, and record staff holidays and sickness. Promote safe working practices in line with health and safety guidelines and communicate effectively with the cleaning team and wider colleagues. Desirable: previous supervisory or team‐lead experience and knowledge of health and safety practices related to cleaning operations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in cleaning within a commercial, institutional or similar environment
- Ability to supervise, motivate and support a team
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach to work
