Job Summary
Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, and disinfect classrooms, locker rooms, and kitchen areas daily. Replenish lavatory supplies, change light bulbs, launder physical education and kitchen items, empty waste receptacles, and pick up litter throughout the district. Operate cleaning equipment while maintaining physical strength to lift heavy items and ensuring all cleaning standards are met. Requires high school diploma or GED, good vision, and ability to work in a team environment. Part-time schedule of 20 hours per week from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM, M-F, at current contract rate of $18.00 plus shift differential.
Required Qualifications
- General knowledge of cleaning procedures
- High School diploma or GED
- Regular daily attendance
- Ability to walk and carry heavy items
- Ability to operate all cleaning equipment
- Good vision; ability to see well enough to clean standards set by supervisor or district
- Physical strength; enough strength to lift, move, and carry heavy items throughout the day
- Intelligence; ability to evaluate a problem, devise and implement a solution
- Social skills; ability to work in a team environment
