Job Summary
Perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance tasks across school facilities during the night shift, including sweeping, mopping, washing windows and walls, dusting furniture, polishing metal furnishings, disposing of waste, waxing floors, moving furniture, and handling laundry. May load/unload materials, operate a hoist, shovel snow, direct facility users, manage building security checks, and transport between sites. Requires a high school diploma and a valid NYS driver license; school district/BOCES employment clearance is required for roles involving contact with students. Prior commercial cleaning experience and familiarity with floor cleaning equipment are preferred.

- Special Requirement for Appointment in School Districts/BOCES: Per regulations of the Commissioner of Education, to be employed in a position designated by a school district or BOCES as involving direct contact with students, a clearance for employment from the State Education Department is required.
