Job Summary
Maintain a clean and orderly facility, including floors, restrooms, windows, and common areas. Perform heavy-duty and routine cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, and sweeping. Empty trash receptacles and restock restrooms with supplies. Assist with basic maintenance and minor repairs as needed. Ensure building security by checking and locking doors and monitoring safety protocols. Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as required. Report maintenance or repair needs to the Facility Director promptly. Maintain cleaning equipment and request additional supplies when needed. Proactively identify areas needing attention and take initiative to address them.
Required Qualifications
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and sanitation procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Good communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious attitude
