Job Summary
Operate high-pressure water hoses, steam cleaners, and chemical tanks to clean machines, parts, and equipment per department guidelines. Maintain personal tools and repair work-area equipment while ensuring proper chemical pH levels and safe disposal of hazardous materials. Perform daily trench cleaning, remove grates, and dig out drains. Interpret oral and written instructions, submit required reports, and cross-train across department areas for consistent workflow coverage. Maintain personal tool inventory including wrenches, screwdrivers, and gasket scrapers.
Required Qualifications
- Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English
- Must have ability to work with hazardous chemicals, solvents, strong soaps, and caustic cleaning chemicals or related cleaning agents on a daily basis
- Consistent attendance
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
- This position is designated as a Safety-Sensitive Position
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer previous experience in equipment and parts cleaning
- Prefer previous heavy equipment operation experience
