Job Summary
As a Cleaner for Downer’s national portfolio, you will perform routine cleaning of facilities, including floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas; sanitize high-touch areas; replenish supplies; dispose of waste per safety guidelines; operate cleaning equipment safely; report maintenance issues; and follow health and safety procedures while maintaining a professional approach. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality outcomes for clients across commercial offices, retail centres, logistics facilities, and land lease communities, requiring independence, good time management, and effective communication. Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in cleaning roles across commercial, residential, or similar environments
- Knowledge of safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals (polishers, scrubbers, buffers desirable)
- Understanding of workplace health and safety and basic sanitation practices
- Must have Working with Children’s Check or be willing to obtain
- Prepared to undertake necessary pre-employment checks including National Police Check and medical
