Job Summary
CIP Sanitation Technician to support aseptic manufacturing operations at the Saline, MI facility. Responsible for monitoring chemical concentrations during CIP processes, maintaining change logs for CIP skids and sanitation systems, auditing CIP processes across shifts, leading annual CIP validation activities, coordinating annual operator training on CIP fundamentals and sanitation procedures, assisting with procedures on chemical handling and cleaning, serving as a technical contact with chemical suppliers, collaborating with Quality/Production/Sanitation teams to support food safety objectives, supporting corrective actions and continuous improvement of CIP systems, maintaining documentation and sanitation reports, and participating in audits. On-site role with exposure to manufacturing environments and need for schedule flexibility; requires a Bachelor’s degree (preferred), 3+ years of relevant experience, and related certifications in sanitation and process control.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or related technical field
- Minimum 3+ years of experience within food and beverage manufacturing environments
- Aseptic processing and packaging knowledge preferred
- HACCP Certification preferred
- Better Process Control School Certification preferred
- Strong understanding of sanitation systems, CIP processes, and chemical handling procedures
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Strong communication and training abilities
