Job Summary

Classroom Technology & Media Coordinator 2 at Yale leads advanced AV support for classrooms and university events within the FAS-SEAS IT, AV Events Support Team. Works with faculty, students, and staff to assess instructional technology needs, develops and implements solutions for pedagogical goals, and provides technical support for control systems, networking, configuration, and basic programming. Responsibilities include system installation, cable termination, rack assembly, diagnostics, firmware updates, device management, and coordinating issue resolution across zones. Requires advanced expertise with video conferencing and capture technologies (Zoom, Teams, Panopto; Zoom Webinars), strong troubleshooting in fast-paced environments, excellent interpersonal and written communication, leadership to guide and mentor staff, and the ability to read schematic diagrams and apply knowledge of electronics, AV, and networking protocols to classroom and event setups. Preferred experience includes non-linear video editing, university AV support, device support across iOS/MacOS/Windows/Android, and staff training. Education/Experience options include extensive related experience with alternative degree combinations. This on-site role includes occasional weekend work and a 9:30am–6:00pm schedule with potential for growth and broader responsibilities within Yale’s IT and AV operations.
