Classroom Teacher

Create an educational environment conducive to learning for 5th grade students while preparing instructional materials and maintaining classroom management. Assess student accomplishments on an established timetable, administer tests, and provide written and oral progress reports to parents and administrators. Plan curriculum and lessons to meet individual student needs based on educational and emotional levels, using strategies to improve sensory, perceptual-motor, and language development. Confers with parents and specialists to develop educational programs, creates learning materials geared to student abilities, and motivates students through consistent reinforcement of learning skills. Maintain accurate records as required by law and assist administration in implementing policies governing student activities.
