Job Summary
Assist Lead and Assistant Teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and maintaining classroom routines under the Frog Street curriculum. Step into classrooms as needed to ensure continuity of care during staff absences, engaging children in hands-on, play-based learning experiences. Provide individualized support for child development, including supervision, diapering, toileting, meals, and rest time. Collaborate with the team to maintain a safe, clean environment while adhering to DECAL state licensing regulations and school policies. Support daily parent communication and adapt quickly to various age groups and classroom expectations. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling under 30 hours per week for those seeking work alongside other commitments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening
- CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and engage physically with children throughout the day
- Dependable, flexible, and comfortable working in multiple classrooms and age groups
- Warm, patient, and responsive to children's needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
