Job Summary
Assist Lead and Assistant Teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and maintaining classroom routines per the Frog Street curriculum. Step into classrooms to ensure continuity of care during staff absences and engage children in hands-on, play-based learning experiences. Provide individualized support for cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development while ensuring safety and supervision at all times. Support daily caregiving routines including diapering, toileting, meals, and rest time. Collaborate with the team to maintain a clean, organized environment and follow DECAL state licensing regulations. This part-time, PRN role offers flexible scheduling under 30 hours per week for those seeking work alongside other commitments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening
- CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and engage physically with children throughout the day
- Dependable, flexible, and comfortable working in multiple classrooms and age groups
- Warm, patient, and responsive to children's needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
