Job Summary
Guide students with emotional and behavioral challenges by building therapeutic relationships and implementing classroom modifications based on Individualized Education Plans. Deliver direct behavioral interventions to promote positive learning behaviors while assisting with individual and group academic activities. Collaborate within a transdisciplinary team to support treatment goals, complete required data collection and service documentation, and communicate effectively with families and external agencies. Utilize crisis communication and de-escalation techniques as per training protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Associate degree or equivalent + 1 year of applicable experience
- High School Diploma/GED + 2 years of applicable experience
- At least 21 years of age
- Reliable transportation to and from the school site and other occasional meeting locations
- Valid California Driver's License
- TB test clearance
- Fingerprinting clearance
- Any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
- Ability to work occasional flexible schedule when school needs vary
- 5 weeks of paid time off
- 11 paid holidays
- 14 paid school break days
