Job Summary
Classroom Behavior Specialist PD provides support to the Special Education Teacher by implementing social-emotional and behavioral programming aligned with students’ IEPs, collects data on social-emotional/behavioral functioning, prepares reports, and supports academic activities. The role requires collaboration with the classroom team, adherence to Bradley Schools policies, and the ability to perform physical management of students when necessary, including lifting up to 50 pounds and de-escalation techniques in a psychiatric school setting. Per diem, day-shift position at LSS-Portsmouth, RI with no relocation requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Baccalaureate Degree preferred with a major in education or related human service fields
- Basic knowledge of data entry/management programs such as Excel
- Experience with child-focused behavioral support and data collection preferred
- Ability to lift up to fifty pounds; physical requirements as described in job posting
