Job Summary
Support students to promote academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth under the direction of a certified teacher. Relate to culturally diverse students and work with those having diverse needs while maintaining a positive learning environment. Demonstrate physical strength and agility to lift 50 pounds and perform essential functions including sitting, standing, and repetitive motions. Ensure the health, welfare, and safety of all students and self. Full-time staff are eligible for Medical, Prescription, and Dental Benefits. Salary ranges from $32,251 to $46,451. Candidates must be NJ residents within one year of hire and pass a criminal history background check.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or high school equivalency certification
- Possess the physical and mental capacity to perform major job responsibilities including but not limited to the ability to lift 50 pounds
- Willingness to work with students with diverse needs
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Physical strength, agility, and energy to perform essential job functions
- Ability to lift and/or move a minimum of 50 pounds
- Required criminal history background check
- Proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status
- Must be NJ resident within one year from date of hire
