Job Summary
Deliver appropriate childcare and support for school readiness skills to children in the Head Start program, ensuring comprehensive services comply with state, federal, and local regulations. Provide daily care for approximately 186 days per year at Mary Giella Elementary in Spring Hill, FL, as a part-time, non-benefit eligible position starting September 2026. Maintain required certifications including American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED courses, along with a Child Development Associate credential or equivalent experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) from an accredited institution
- Satisfactory completion of American Red Cross First Aid course, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) course, or complete within three months of hire
- Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, or complete within two years of hire
- All hires must meet the Early Childhood physical examination requirements
- Pasco County Schools utilizes the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse for fingerprinting and Level II background screening
