Job Summary
Classroom Assistant will provide assistance to the instructional program in school classrooms and resource centers at Logan Memorial Educational Campus, San Diego, CA. The role is 10 months per year, 30 hours per week, with bilingual (English/Spanish) duties noted; bilingual positions qualify for a 5% differential. Candidates may be asked to take a qualifying oral/written fluency test. Education requirements include a High School diploma/GED with CAPE, an Associate’s degree, or 48+ eligible college units, with postsecondary coursework in Psychology, Early Childhood Development, Elementary Education, or Special Education considered desirable. 20+ hours per week eligibility for District-paid health benefits. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED and a passing score on the San Diego Unified School District Classroom Assistant Proficiency Exam (CAPE) or an Associate’s degree (or higher) or 48 or more eligible units of coursework at a recognized college or university.
- Completion of post high school courses in Psychology, Early Childhood Development, Elementary Education, Special Education, or related field is desirable.
