Job Summary
Aid instructors with classroom technology, lab setup, and hands-on activities while providing scheduled tutoring and remediation support. Proctor nursing exams following established guidelines and assist with restocking, cleaning, and orientation tasks. Work under direct supervision of the Associate Director and Full Time Instructor on campus. Maintain student confidentiality, uphold academic integrity, and communicate effectively in fast-paced settings. Requires Ross Medical/Dental/Veterinary Assistant graduation or equivalent experience with relevant certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a Ross Medical Education Center program as a Medical Assistant, Dental Assistant, or Veterinary Assistant
- 1 or more years work experience in their allied health field
- Must have sufficient ability to move around the building and classroom to satisfy student needs and/or facilitate student participation
- Must have sufficient visual and auditory ability to operate computer equipment, use telephone, read materials, and office equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively in classroom and individual settings
- Knowledge of materials (subjects) that will be taught to students and ability to use and communicate Ross curriculum
- Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced work environment
- Ability to use current technology to maintain student records, e.g., Microsoft Office, Campus Vue
- Ability to achieve or maintain credential and/or licensure within expected time frames
- Demonstrates professionalism in manner, dress and conduct as a representative of Ross and a student mentor
- Ability to remain objective and treat all students equally
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Adhere to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics
- Must never be delivering Primary Instruction or Proficiency Completion to students
- All work is to be performed on campus
Desired Qualifications
- National MA certification (RMA, CMA, CCMA, CMAA, NCMA) or National DA certification (CDA, RDA) a plus
