Job Summary
Assist in the implementation of a developmentally appropriate program for eligible children following curriculum and funding guidelines while ensuring quality service delivery. Take attendance of children at mealtimes, assist in serving and supervising meals, and transport children to and from the site. Protect the privacy of families and hold all information in confidence. Promote a team approach in program coordination with site staff, management, the Policy Council, and area school personnel. Actively engage young children in intentional learning throughout the day, fulfill the role of an associate teacher if necessary, and encourage family involvement in goal setting. Accurately complete required program documentation and record keeping in a neat and timely manner. Recruit families and promote agency programs within the community. Participate in personal and professional development activities, including staff meetings and training opportunities. Attend community events and meetings to support agency programs, including evening and weekend events.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- high school diploma/GED
- experience working with young children
- Family Service Credential within 18 months of hire or the first session offered thereafter
- 16 hours of annual training
- CPR training
- First Aid training
- Blood Borne Pathogen training
- Proficient Computer Skills
