Job Summary
Supervise students throughout the school day while implementing assigned individualized educational and therapeutic programs both inside and outside the classroom. Engage in necessary lifting, moving, and positioning tasks to facilitate improved gross motor, fine motor, and range of motion skills. Assist students with toileting, dressing, eating, and Activities of Daily Living, including modeling appropriate behavior and using therapeutic equipment. Provide behavioral support, implement emergency physical interventions, and maintain a safe, healthy environment by addressing health and safety needs. Interact with students, parents, and team members professionally while observing and recording student performance. Prepare classroom materials, assist with small group activities, and follow direction from teachers and supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English including interpreting documents such as safety rules and policy and procedure manuals
- Must be at least 18 years of age
