Job Summary
Support teachers in a high-quality preschool program by creating and maintaining a safe, positive learning environment focused on belonging. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel while navigating technology and prioritizing multitasking duties. Work 127 days per year, seven hours daily from Monday through Thursday, adhering to a commitment of equity, social justice, and inclusion. Bilingual skills are highly desired given the district's diverse student population speaking over 100 languages. Candidates must demonstrate good attendance, punctuality, and a willingness to work where staffing needs arise.
Required Qualifications
- Preferably has some experience working with children
- Ability to communicate effectively and relate positively with students, parents, and school personnel
- Good attendance and punctuality
- Commitment to equity, social justice and inclusion in all practices and position responsibilities
- Team player who is able to multitask and prioritize
- Navigate some technology
- Some English-speaking skills
- Willingness to work where needed to support staffing needs
- Current Michigan State Police and FBI criminal records LiveScan check
