Job Summary
The Classroom Aide Floater assists in providing a safe and engaging environment for preschool children, supervising and interacting with them during daily activities. The aide models appropriate behaviors, maintains compliance documentation, and participates in team-based Early Childhood Education. Responsibilities include leading small groups, assisting with hygiene practices, and performing basic center maintenance. Candidates should possess a strong desire to work with low income children and families, good judgment, flexibility, and effective communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 months directly related paid or volunteer experience
Additional Requirements
- Must have the desire to work with low income children and families
- Must be able to work well in a team-teaching atmosphere
- Must successfully complete and maintain CPR and First Aid Certification(s)
- Must attend Head Start sponsored trainings and meetings as requested
- Must maintain confidentiality
