Job Summary
Organize and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities under the direction of the classroom teacher while reinforcing educational goals. Attend to the individual needs of children, manage the classroom environment, and follow busing and breakfast/lunch program procedures. Maintain adequate vision, speech, hearing, and physical stamina for lifting, bending, kneeling, and running. Requires CPI Certification and experience working with children or those with developmental delays. High school diploma or GED required. Full-time position at Buffalo Hearing & Speech's Sweet Home preschool location in Cheektowaga.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/ GED
- Experience working with children, or in a classroom setting and/or working with children/adults with developmental delays/disabilities
- Ability to obtain and maintain CPI Certification
- Vision, speech, tactical and hearing senses adequate to perform job requirements
- Physical actions may include, but are not limited to; lifting, bending, kneeling, standing, squatting, reaching, sprinting, crawling, and running
