Job Summary
Administer, configure, and maintain classified servers, LAN/WAN networks, and secure communications systems to ensure high availability, performance, and operational continuity. Monitor system health, logs, and alerts; perform patch management, backups, and disaster recovery procedures. Support infrastructure modernization within classified environments and implement security controls aligned with NIST 800-series, STIGs, ICD 503, RMF. Collaborate with cybersecurity, engineering, program, and IT teams to deliver compliant, secure, and reliable technical solutions. Contribute to technical documentation, process improvements, and mentoring or training for team members. Requires 100% in-office presence in the Washington, DC area (Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm EST) and ability to obtain/maintain eligibility for access to classified information. Education: Associate's degree required; BA/BS preferred. Location: RAND's Washington D.C. office (Arlington, VA). Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree required
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in classified network systems required
- Experience administering classified servers, networks, and storage in Windows and Linux environments
