Job Summary
Conduct classroom support duties under teacher supervision, including feeding, toileting, transferring, and positioning students with special needs. Assist with physical and occupational therapy, manage behavior modification techniques, and prepare instructional aids and games. Monitor student work, organize classroom materials, and assist in loading/unloading students for transport. Implement structured behavior plans and maintain confidentiality regarding student information while communicating progress to parents only with authorization. Perform clerical tasks and attend professional development workshops. Requires high school diploma, driver's license, and first aid/CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Drivers License
- regular, dependable in-person attendance on the job

- Ability to possess and utilize the identified knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Ability to perform the physical requirements
- Lifting: 60 pound maximum
- Carrying: 1-50 ft.
- Visual and auditory acuity for student supervisory functions
- Skills in written and oral communication
- Skills in human relations
Desired Qualifications
- Post Secondary training

- Experience working with children/students
