Job Summary
Assists the teacher in providing instruction to students with disabilities and supports a range of classroom needs, including collecting instructional materials, implementing behavior management techniques, preparing instructional aids, assisting with the evaluation and supervision of students’ work, and supporting transportation and daily logistics. The role involves frequent in-person attendance, collaboration with the supervising teacher and administrators, and delivering hands-on support to promote student learning. Requires effective communication, ability to perform physical tasks as outlined, and a commitment to a positive working environment within Fremont Public Schools.
Required Qualifications
- Education Level: High School Diploma or GED
- Driver's License
- First Aid/CPR certificate desired
- Experience working with children/students
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to perform the physical requirements listed
- Basic reading and math skills
