Job Summary
Performs instructional support in elementary or secondary classrooms, working with students with disabilities individually or in groups; implements the classroom plan and accommodations per the IEP, monitors student progress, maintains logs, assists with health procedures and safety, supports positive behavior plans, and aids in using computer applications and assistive technology; collaborates with teachers and staff to support students and ensure confidentiality under FERPA; typical duties occur across inclusive, resource, and self-contained settings during a 170-day work period.
Required Qualifications
- Must have earned a high school diploma or its equivalent
- Pass the teacher/paraprofessional assessment test with a score of 450 or higher
- Associate degree or higher
- 48 hours of college with six hours of Math and nine hours of English (official transcripts are required)
