Job Summary
Coordinate instructional efforts with classroom teachers and assist in developing teaching aids like bibliographies and charts. Support subject matter presentations through lectures, discussions, and supervised role-playing, while helping prepare and grade examinations. Provide routine supervision for students in study areas, cafeterias, halls, playgrounds, and during field trips or bus loading/unloading. Assist individuals or groups with lesson assignments to reinforce learning concepts and perform basic office duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Two years college (48 hours minimum) including 9 hours of Mathematics and 9 hours of English
- Associate degree
- Higher degree than Associate
- Pass the test stipulated by the Louisiana State Department of Education
Desired Qualifications
- Some previous experience working with children
