Job Summary
Director-level responsibility for the district's Student Information & Data Systems (SIS) including leadership over PowerSchool, data governance, reporting, and system integration. Leads the implementation, updates, and training for SIS across the district; develops and maintains demographic reports and queries; ensures accurate data submission to state/federal systems; supports staff with data reporting, attendance, scheduling, grading, and testing data; requires experience with complex databases, HTML programming for forms, and confidentiality of student, district, and personnel data; 12-month, full-time role with in-person work in Fremont, NE. Must demonstrate ability to train users, supervise staff, and communicate effectively in writing; must clear criminal record check; experience with PowerSchool and related district data operations highly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- BA or Associate degree with emphasis on education and/or information technology
- Experience in use and manipulation of complex databases including setup, query design, and report creation
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge and experience in PowerSchool Information Platform
- Knowledge of computer operating systems and networks and basic programming
- Ability to direct, instruct, and train users with wide variety of expertise
- Leadership skills enabling delegation
- Criminal background clearance
- Regular in-person attendance
- Strong written communication
