Class I Engineer

Maintain and repair HVAC systems, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and related equipment within a hotel environment. Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, take chiller and water heater readings, take tower water samples, replace and repair air conditioning components, and repair kitchen equipment. Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams; manage plumbing repairs, pumps, and drains; operate boiler maintenance and water treatment knowledge; coordinate with contractors and supervise other engineering staff as assigned. Maintain logs (boiler, PM, emergency) and ensure compliance with safety and legal standards (CFC/EPA/ADA/IAQ/OSHA). Handle dangerous chemicals; manage inventory; work unsupervised and assist as property security as requested. Provide friendly, service-oriented interactions with guests and colleagues; communicate effectively in English; participate in staff meetings and maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming. This role requires physical stamina (lifting, climbing stairs, long hours) and the ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels in both outdoor and indoor environments.
