Job Summary
Lineman – C Class responsible for ground/Apprentice duties, working on energized/de-energized lines, climbing poles, and performing wire-stringing, transformer connections, and related electrical distribution tasks. Requires adherence to safety standards, ability to operate service trucks, read data from meters, and perform after-hours on-call duties in diverse weather and outdoor environments. The role includes maintaining tools, responding to work orders, and performing related duties as assigned; candidates must meet physical requirements and pass background checks as part of the onboarding process.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver License is required
- Must have a Valid Class A CDL
- current medical examiner card
- pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks
- pre-employment drug screen
- OSHA 10hr Safety Training Program within 60 days
- Completion of formal training program or at least four years of verifiable experience including three years of energized work
- Completion of Insulate/Isolate Course Critical review and recommendations from Operations, Safety/Training
- Must have ability for frequent travel on needed training requirements and potential for overtime including storm work
