Job Summary
Paraprofessional role at Deephaven Elementary involved in implementing behavior strategies to de-escalate and stabilize student behavior, supporting attendance and academic outcomes under supervision of a teacher or principal. Responsibilities include applying student management techniques, recording and summarizing observed data, maintaining a log and behavior charts, and using reinforcement schedules. Required Qualifications
- Experience working with elementary school students.
- Evidence of effective student management and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Must be available before school, after school and designated days in the summer for special events, meetings and trainings.
- Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
