Job Summary
Class B Truck Driver responsible for on-time delivery of batteries to customers, loading/unloading at stops, securing loads per DOT hazmat guidelines, maintaining vehicle and cargo area cleanliness, completing daily logs with the ELD, and reporting violations or incidents to the Cromwell office. Requires driving with CDL Class B, HazMat endorsement (or ability to obtain within 6 months), adherence to safety procedures, ability to use pallet jack/forklift, and willingness to work 10-hour shifts, four days a week with potential overtime and overnight trips.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License Class B
- Air brake and hazardous material endorsement or ability to acquire certification within first 6 months of employment
- Hazardous materials training (HAZMAT)
- Medical exam card with drug screen within last 24 months
- Experience operating pallet jack and forklift
- DOT regulations knowledge
- Ability to work with customers and comply with company policies
- Ability to pass DOT physical and background check
- Ability to drive long hours including overnight trips as needed
