Job Summary
Heavy Duty Mechanic responsible for routine maintenance on mobile equipment to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and environmental compliance. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing mobile equipment; troubleshooting and resolving equipment failures; collaborating with other trades in a team environment to enhance safety, efficiency, quality, and production; supporting shutdowns and strategic capital projects; and providing mentorship and leadership for maintenance staff. Requires completion of a journeyman apprenticeship in the trade and ability to work a flexible schedule, including on-call shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Completed a journeyman apprenticeship in the trade
- Knowledgeable in various maintenance practices
- Skilled in building rapport and fostering working relationships with key stakeholders, using a collaborative and supportive approach to achieve goals
- Willing and able to work a flexible schedule as needed, including on-call support for the Plant Management Team.
