Job Summary
Operate delivery vehicle (GVW > 26,000 lbs) delivering goods along predetermined routes; secure loads, obtain client signatures, maintain delivery logs, perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, coordinate with dispatch, ensure timely deliveries, track hours, and comply with ICC/DOT regulations while keeping vehicle clean and communicating with management as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Valid Class A driver’s license required
- 2 years proven experience preferred
- Clean driving record with no moving violations
- Must pass background check and drug test
- Skilled at driving large vehicles
- Comfortable maneuvering and parking
- Alert, focused, and detail-oriented
- Physically and mentally fit
- Proficient using GPS and other routing systems
- Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
