Job Summary
Safely operate a Class B CDL roll-off truck to deliver, exchange, and remove containers at customer locations in compliance with DOT regulations. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, secure containers, and maintain accurate route and inspection records. Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding service needs, report equipment issues or incidents immediately, and ensure proper placement of equipment at sites. Work Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, adhering to physical requirements for climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with acceptable driving record
- Ability to safely operate hydraulic equipment and roll-off systems
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Ability to frequently climb in and out of the truck cab
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and climb as needed throughout the workday
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and dust
- Ability to safely perform duties in industrial, construction, and customer site environments
- Ability to use electronic logging devices (ELDs), mobile applications, and route documentation systems
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Previous roll-off, waste, recycling, construction, or transportation experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
