Job Summary
Transport freight between Service Centers and customers by loading, unloading, and driving a Class B tractor-trailer. Perform pre and post trip inspections, properly document freight control processes, and read maps, road signs, and shipping papers. Affix correct placards, maintain vehicle cleanliness, assist customers with shipping papers, and operate a forklift when needed. Adhere to operational procedures and participate in training programs. Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating shifts, and assignments. Valid Class B CDL with Hazardous Materials and Tank Endorsement required.
Required Qualifications
- At least 23 years of age
- At least 18 months of commercial driving experience
- Valid Class B CDL with Hazardous Materials and Tank Endorsement
- Valid DOT Physical/Medical Card
- No DUI, Citation/Conviction for Reckless Operations in the past 3 years
- Less than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
- Basic math skills
- Fluent in English
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Able to pass a drug screen
- Must be able to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle
- Must be able to perform physical tasks associated with driving, equipment inspections, and local pick-up and delivery operations
- Must be able to stand, walk, climb, bend, reach, push, pull, ascend and descend from the vehicle
- Must be able to handle freight and delivery equipment
- Must be able to handle materials and use powered tools or devices
