Job Summary
Load, secure, and deliver material locally, ensuring all loads are safely secured before leaving the yard or job site. Conduct daily inspections of delivery vehicles per DOT requirements and check loads for accuracy. Maintain all required paperwork and communicate clearly with employees, management, and customers. Work Monday through Friday on the first shift with a 40-hour weekly schedule, including ability to work overtime when needed. Drivers are home every night. The team operates within the Lumber/Building industry, offering creative solutions to practical challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Class B CDL License
- Ability to lift up to 80lbs
- Driving record that meets current DOT regulations
- Ability to work overtime, when needed
- Must be available for local runs only
- Must be available for home every night schedule
- Must be available for Monday – Friday, 1st Shift
- Must be available for 40hrs/wk
- Must be able to load, secure, and deliver material
- Must be able to perform inspections of delivery vehicles, per DOT requirements
- Must be able to maintain all required paperwork
- Must be able to check load for accuracy
- Must be able to ensure all loads are safely secured before leaving yard and or job site
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with employees, management, and customers
- Must be a hardworking, responsible, motivated team player
Desired Qualifications
- Class A CDL License
- Ability to learn a Piggyback or Princeton (Forklift)
- Great Attitude
- Bachelor's degree, English major preferred
