Job Summary
Drive commercial trucks to execute donation pickups from retail partners, warehouses, and manufacturers, then deliver orders, produce, and government food programs to partner agencies across a 20-county service area. Safely operate material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload cargo at facilities and delivery sites. Conduct thorough USDOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain clean driving records, and perform basic vehicle upkeep. Assist with special projects and events as requested by the Transportation Manager. This role requires a valid Class B CDL, minimum one year of commercial driving experience, and ability to work in sub-freezing temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Valid USDOT Medical Card
- At least 21 years old
- Minimum of 1 year of recent, verifiable commercial driving experience
- No more than two moving violations and zero DOT-defined accidents within the last three (3) years in any vehicle
- Required experience operating propane/electric forklifts and electric pallet jacks/riders
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to perform moderate-to-heavy physical labor, regularly lifting up to 30 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to push/pull up to 300 lbs. using manual equipment
- Must be available for sub-freezing temperatures (coolers/freezers) for extended periods
- Must be able to work in warehouse environments
- Must be able to work in commercial truck operation environments
- Must agree to a pre-employment Drug Screen including testing for marijuana (THC)
- Must agree to a Drug-Free Workplace policy
