Job Summary
Drive delivery vehicles and truck-trailer combinations to transport building materials to customer sites, weighing over 26,000 pounds. Load and secure product inside the vehicle, maneuver into loading positions, and assist customers with unloading while verifying order details against invoices. Maintain logs of deliveries, mileage, and DVIR compliance using handheld devices, and perform pre/post trip inspections. Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to offload materials, handle credit or product return pick-ups, and resolve customer concerns as a liaison. Adhere to safety regulations, HOS rules, and DOT medical card requirements while maintaining vehicle cleanliness.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 21+ years old
- valid driver's license
- Class B CDL license
- A minimum of 1 year of delivery driving experience
- Have less than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years
- Basic math & measurement skills
- Ability to read and speak the English language
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to physically operate delivery vehicles (climb up and down into cab, twist torso for 360-degree visibility, use arms to operate controls, etc.)
- Obtain a DOT medical card within five (5) days of a request
- Pass MVR report
