Job Summary
Manage OTR routes across the Midwest, East, Southeast, and Southwest regions, averaging 2,000 to 3,000 miles weekly with a focus on shorter runs and no-touch freight. Operate a reliable Class A tractor under DSL Express's DOT authority, utilizing 24/7 dedicated dispatch to secure loads and manage schedules. Maintain strict safety standards with a clean MVR, passing DOT inspections, and adhering to ELD compliance while avoiding forced dispatch or long-haul obligations. Negotiate weekly home time up to your preference and maximize gross earnings ranging from $5,000 to $8,000+ per week through performance-based incentives and high linehaul percentages. Utilize provided fuel cards with a 30-cent discount, access to a built-in mechanic shop, and optional trailer rentals to optimize operational costs.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL
- 2+ yrs CDL Exp
- Clean MVR and reasonable PSP report
- Reliable Tractor
- Must have been at least 23 years old
- Minimum of 2 years of driving experience
- Valid CDL Class A without pending suspensions
- Must be able to work with modern ELD systems
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must have a valid medical card issued
- Must have a stable work history and good references
- No more than 3 moving violations and/or accidents in the last 3 years
- No failed or refused drug or alcohol test in the last 4 years
- No DWI's, DUI's and BAC's in the last 4 years
- No reckless driving convictions in the last 3 years
- No license suspension for points, unpaid tickets in the last 3 years
- Must provide no less than 3 years of work history
- Previous employers and references will be checked and must be verifiable
