Job Summary
Conduct safe, efficient, and timely transportation of materials along designated local and regional routes using Class A or B commercial vehicles. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, load and unload materials while ensuring proper handling, and maintain accurate driver logs and transportation documentation. Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, delays, and updates while following all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws. Maintain equipment cleanliness and uphold professional customer service standards. This safety-sensitive part-time role involves 2–3 days per week, outdoor work in varying conditions, and requires a valid CDL, clean MVR, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Ability to meet all DOT requirements, including medical certification
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles in various weather and road conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties as required
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures
- Must be available for early mornings, extended hours, or occasional regional travel depending on operational needs
- Must be able to work in environments with dust, odors, noise, and varying temperatures
- Must be able to sit for extended periods while driving
- Must be able to climb in and out of the vehicle multiple times throughout the shift
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 1–2+ years of commercial driving experience
- Experience operating dump trucks, roll-off trucks, vacuum trucks, or similar equipment
- Familiarity with ELD systems and transportation documentation
- Experience in construction, waste, recycling, environmental services, or logistics industries
