Job Summary
Load, haul, and deliver food waste on intra- and interstate routes with 15 to 25 stops daily, operating manual or electric pallet jacks and pressure washers to rinse bins. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain truck equipment, and utilize the electronic logging system for DOT compliance. Submit documentation, report accidents immediately, and cover regular routes or travel up to two weeks outside the region when needed. This safety-sensitive role requires a Class A CDL, clean MVR, and two years of tractor-trailer experience.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL License (self-certified as a Non-Excepted Interstate driver with the state of issuance)
- Clean MVR and PSP
- Must be at least 23 years of age and have a minimum of 2 years of full-time verifiable tractor-trailer experience OR 21 years of age with 1 year of tractor-trailer experience IF a graduate from a Truck Driving School or 1 year of Military experience
- Stable work history
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must pass a pre-employment Background check
- Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records
- Ability to travel and stay out overnight up to 2 weeks or more, depending on operational needs
- Ability to lift, pull, and/or push up to 70 pounds
- Ability to regularly pull/roll up to 300 pounds when working with totes
- Ability to handle unpleasant odors from food waste/farms
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
